# RefPot

RefPot is in engine-first research and design: a custom embedded relational database engine, with a simple Python ORM as a goal. The engine is intended for direct use and is not a SQLite wrapper.

- Status: no released engine, installable package, stable API, production durability guarantee, or general 2× performance claim.
- Design: own execution and storage engine; direct SQL and structured ORM operations should share semantics; explicit transaction guarantees.
- Research: earlier native prototypes are exploratory, not an integrated or supported distribution.
